It’s sort of–but not quite–rainy. The weather won’t commit to being anything but gray. I have a brazillion and nine book reviews to write (I might be exaggerating), and I’ve only just found my reading glasses on the top shelf of the fridge. (I’m totally not exaggerating.)
I love writing book reviews more than almost anything else I’ve ever done, but I’m not feeling it today. I woke up at 3:00 this morning and didn’t fall back asleep until 6:00. I read the same page in an Audrey Hepburn biography eight- or nine-hundred times before giving up and watching a few episodes of I Love Lucy instead. When I finally woke up, I put on real people clothes just long enough to have breakfast with my mom and go to the grocery store to squeeze cantaloupes and giggle, then I came home, took a shower, and got right back into my pajamas. Watch me. I’m motivated today.
I really wanted to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World this weekend, but obviously not enough, because laying in bed with a pillow on top of my face humming songs from White Christmas has made up the majority of my day thus far.
It’s my dad’s birthday, too, and I’m supposed to make cupcakes. I’ve started wondering if I can pay someone to come over to my house and make cupcakes for me. I’m too lazy to even leave my house and go buy cupcakes. Hell, I’m too lazy to sit up and reach for my BlackBerry so I can call someone to come make them. And I’m supposed to write a brazillion and nine book reviews.
How do insomniacs do it? I’ve lost three hours of sleep and I’m practically comatose. It’s a good thing I showered before my ambition failed completely, or I’d basically complete the picture of a lazy bastard: pajamas, hair underneath a bandana, no makeup, and visible stink lines.
That just reminded me I need to brush my teeth. Do I need to brush my teeth? Let’s say all dentists are liars until I have to pee and get up anyway.
Man, I’m too lazy to even finish this post.

You know I’m relieved by the fact that squeezing cantaloupes makes someone else giggle too…And I thought I was the only one! I like them best when they’re soft and squishy, how about you? (giggle) You make me laugh! But in a good way :) Happy Birthday to your Dad…
Be well, Metallica (Kirk H.) fan
I am having one of those days at the moment. Guess visible stink lines love company. Happy Birthday to your dad.
I guess they do! Thanks for the comment.
